NXT 90

November 9, 2011 – Liverpool, Merseyside

Jack Krapola is gone from WWE, replaced by Josh Matthews. Matt Striker has the Titus O’Neil, Percy Watson, and BetaMax in the ring to start the show. They kill time on the mic until Johnny Curtis comes out. Curtis reveals that he dated Maxine first. Derrick Bateman is upset, but they’re going to have to put that awkwardness behind them because they’re teaming up against O’Neil and Watson in the main event.

Tyson Kidd def. Trent Barreta
The first mention of WWE Network get’s uttered during this match. If you were a big fan at this time and were excited for that to come out, you’d be in for a bit of a wait. The match was kind of flat, but a definitely step above the usual garbage we get here. The ambitious finish could have been executed better. **½

Jimmy Uso def. JTG
The Usos don’t want their “cousin” Tamina dating JTG, so she’s rebelling and is in his corner. I’m realizing now that the last match might have felt flat because the crowd is just bad. They were dead silent for this. To be fair these guys weren’t giving them a ton to freak out about, but it’s rare to hear a crowd this quiet. *¼

Derrick Bateman & Johnny Curtis def. Titus O’Neil & Percy Watson
Maxine didn’t factor into this at all, and with the exception of the painfully dead crowd this was actually kind of decent. The white boys finished with a clubbering version of Total Elimination, so they’re definitely going to keep tagging. **¼
