NXT 33

October 5, 2010 – Topeka, Kansas

The first challenge of the night is a mechanical bull. Aksana wins it.

Aksana def. Maxine
Aksana almos tilled Maxine with a snapmare here. That’s the only thing of note here. Aksana and Goldust celebrate like she just won a title. ½*

Meanwhile, the John Cena vs./w. Nexus storyline is actually really interesting, especially just watching it in video package form.

Something is very wrong with this broadcast on the WWE Network, as they play the previous match and Raw Recap over again.

Next up there’s a talent show, and Michael Cole is still crapping on everyone. Kaitlyn wins and thus gets immunity by having won the most challenges. I think she and AJ are tied but for some reason only Kaitlyn has immunity. Whatever.

Some suit from immigration shows up and tells Aksana she has four weeks to get her papers in order or she’ll be deported. Goldust promises everything will be okay. #AbolishICE, amiright?

Kaitlyn def. Vickie Guerrero
Guerrero having “excuse me” on her top sort of flies in the face of her whole oblivious-to-how-awful-she-is gimmick. Almost the whole match was Guerrero stalling, and then getting rolled up. It was barely a wrestling match. Kaitlyn tries to celebrate with Dolph Ziggler after the match, but he knows better than to spoil his meal ticket this time around. ¼*

The show ends with Jamie being eliminated, pretty much as an afterthought. They’ve totally done away with the rankings. I wish if they had no interest in helping these women get exposure and get better that they’d just stop doing the show because as it is it’s just unbelievably mean.
