Bray Wyatt def. Yoshi Tatsu
I don’t review squashes, but Wyatt looked good here. After the match, he berates his Family by making him watch video of them losing the NXT Tag Team Championship match. He makes Erick Rowan and Luke Harper fight each other, then makes them stop. Far from the worst Wyatt Family segment. N/A
It turns out the person who has been sending love letters to Sasha Banks for the last few weeks has been Audrey Marie, who attacks her from behind because she’s dissatisfied with the woman who “replaced” her during her injury.
Xavier Woods def. El Local
Local gets a Power Ranger chant. The commentators more or less spend the match arguing over whether or not Local is fat and/or ugly. Woods’ swinging DDT finisher is pretty sick. The rest of the match was fine just fine, which is really the best I’ve been able to hope for the last few weeks on this damn show. **½
Audrey Marie def. Sasha Banks
So what was going to be on this spot in the show if Banks’ secret admirer was just like, a nice dude? Regal correctly notes on commentary that this feud is structured pretty much exactly the same as the other ladies’ feud. The match was too short to amount to anything, unless the message we’re supposed to get is that Banks really was just a placeholder for the much more dominant Marie. *
An injured Tyson Kidd (not that injury) comes to the ring. He talks about compliments that WWE Champion CM Punk paid him when Leo Kruger comes out and threatens to end his career. Justin Gabriel makes the save. So Gabriel will be the next guy to have boring matches with Kruger I guess.
Big E Langston ddq. Conor O’Brian
The match ended when the referee couldn’t get the wrestler’s separated and they tossed him to the mat. You can get a match like this, where the wrestlers just keep pounding on each other, over with the crowd if you structure it correctly. Even a very poor man’s version of Kensuke Sasaki vs. Kenta Kobashi would have worked. This didn’t really work. After the match Corey Graves attacks Langston and steals his title belt. *½
