Gran Metalik def. Tajiri {Second Round Match}
These two really beat each other up. Frankly, I didn’t know the elder Tajiri had it in him to take a beating like this. I mean, he dished it out too but he got pretty abused here. Dude was like 45 at the time! I liked this a lot, and it was the first taste I’ve gotten of the Metalik I’ve heard a lot about from his non-WWE career. He won with the Metalik Driver at 10:53. ***½

Kota Ibushi def. Cedric Alexander {Second Round Match}
This was terrific. It was a high-flying, hard-hitting riot. Even the major spots that didn’t quite work the way they were intended, worked in a secondary, desperate way that made perfect sense within the context of this match. MOstly I man that anytime a wrestler who was about to hit a spot seemed hesitant or a half a step off from where he was meant to be, that spot was blocked or avoided. I don’t know if that was good fortune or if it was intended, but it doesn’t really matter because the match absolutely ruled either way. Ibushi won in 15:00 with the Golden Star Bomb. ****¼
