NXT 265

February 18, 2015 – Winter Park, Florida

Kevin Owens starts the show. He has no problem with the way he got his title shot or won the title. He’s moving beyond Sami Zayn and has his eyes on number one contender Finn Balor. And that’s it, no interruption from anyone.

Rhyno def. Elias Samson
I don’t rate squashes, but this was fun and the crowd was super into Rhyno being there. This was originally part of an effort to bring in NXT exclusive treats for the fans. N/A

Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady def. Simon Gotch & Aiden English
After countless jobs, the Jersey lunks finally get a win over the Vaudevillains. This was fine, mostly because it was very short. After the match Blake & Murphy come on the big screen and essentially go from personality-free to heels by hitting on Carmella and ripping on the title aspirations of Enzo & Cass. **

CJ Parker comes out to occupy NXT because he’s mad that he wasn’t involved at Takeover. Then, after weeks of being creepy, Solomon Crowe runs out and beats him up. I am not pleased because Sami Callihan blows.

Sasha Banks def. Blue Pants
Pants is more over than any of the other women in the division, and should probably be doing more than red-shirting for everyone. N/A

Kevin Owens def. Adrian Neville
This was insane. It was so much better than their match a few weeks earlier. That match was mostly Owens brutalizing Neville to get over what a force he is. This was Neville, furious at Owens, just haphazardly throwing everything he had at Owens. But that eventually caught up with him as he telegraphed his finish and Owens got out of the way and caught him with his powerbomb. Just fantastic stuff. ****
