NXT 255

December 18, 2014 – Winter Park, Florida

Adrian Neville comes out to the ring to say that the better man won at Takeover, but that Kevin Owens is dispicable for attacking Sami Zayn at the end of the show (which has put him out of action). Owens comes out, doesn’t explain his actions, but more or less challenges Neville to a fight.

Tyler Breeze is going abroad to do some modeling, but don’t worry, he’ll be sending updates.

Becky Lynch def. Bayley
This was a decent little match that picked up nicely after a rocky start and saw Lynch target Bayley’s injured leg. I still don’t really buy Lynch as a heel. **

William Regal grants the Vaudevillains another title match against the Lucha Dragons because the legal man wasn’t pinned in their takeover match.

Bull Demsey def. Mr. 450
I don’t review squashes, and three weeks of these squashes overlapping with Baron Corbins’ are enough. N/A

Baron Corbin def. Rob Ryzin
I had to google to find out who Ryzin was, because it wasn’t listed by the WWE Network and certainly wasn’t said on the show. Luckily he had his last name on his tights and had unique haircut. After the match, Dempsey shoves Corbin and runs away. This angle is trash. N/A

Konnor & Viktor def. Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady
Pretty much a squash. Cass was doing alright, but Amore tagged in to impress Carmella, but she was flirting with a fan and the little guy got wiped out. At least it had a story. After the match the Ascension says they aren’t done Hideo Itami & Finn Balor. That’s a real shame. ½*

Adrian Neville dco. Kevin Owens
This is a little hard for me to believe, but these two have only wrestled in two singles matches before, on PWG shows in 2007 and 2011. In a rather insane moment, they do a throwback spot to their first match in which Owens drops Neville on the top of his head with a hanging DDT from the turnbuckle. Wrestling easter eggs are just swell. This really could have used a finish, especially since most of the match was like watching the villain from a new Dragon Ball Z saga dominating the one from the previous saga. After the match, Owens powerbombs Neville onto the apron. ***
