April 11, 2012 – Hampton, Virginia
Johnny Curtis def. Percy Watson
Maxine whispers something to William Regal during the match, which gets Regal to stand up from commentary. The fun of the whole angle falls apart under the weight of logical inconsistencies in who has seen and acknowledged the backstage segments so far. Oh, also there was a match, and it wasn’t interesting. Regal leaves with Maxine after the match. *½
Tyler Reks and Curt Hawkins still won’t give Matt Striker to Maxine until they’re sure she didn’t double-cross them. Then she pretends to cry to get Derrick Bateman to help her. He and Kaitlyn don’t have matches, so they’ll take a run at the issue. Later, they actually find Striker in a utility closet. Striker is in bad shape, but he stares at Hawkins’ left-behind cane and says he wants to handle it himself.
Titus O’Neil, mad at Darren Young, gives Tamina the coconut tree that he bought her and pretends it’s from him. Young runs into Tamina and gets pissed. O’Neil says he did that just to teach Young a lesson in who is best.
Regal approaches Hawkins and Reks and reveals that he knows that they’re the ones who kidnapped him. Man, they really crapped the bed on the of this angle. They resolve to hand over Striker as heroes while framing Maxine and Curtis, but Striker is gone of course.
Tyson Kidd def. Michael McGillicutty
This was better than their first match, and better than most matches that happen on this show, but still a good few steps behind the match we now know they’re capable of. **¾
