NXT 62

April 26, 2011 – Greensboro, North Carolina

The show starts with a newlywed game challenge. Darren Young and Chavo Guerrero have a falling out. Jacob Novak wins the thing.

Titus O’Neil def. Darren Young
How many times are they going to run this match without doing anything different? Young wants Guerrero to help him cheat, and O’neil wins when Guerrero won’t do it. *

Jacob Novak & JTG def. Conor O’Brian & Vladimir Kozlov
Novak rips on William Regal again before the match. Regal offers to fight him, but Novak doesn’t want it now, but he’ll fight him next week. The tag match is a whole lot of nothing. *

Someone destroyed Maryse’s new purse. Maryse thinks it’s Lucky Cannon. Byron Saxton says he’ll find him in the ring because they have a match against each other later. He also says he wishes Tatsu would pay as much attention to their working relationship as he did to his relationship with Maryse.

Lucky Cannon def. Byron Saxton
None of the six rookies are interesting in any way, so that matches without the pros are all useless. This was a slog. Tatsu attacks Cannon after five minutes and gets Saxton disqualified. Saxton attacks Tatsu for the gaffe. Cannon takes out Saxton and Maryse seems turned on. *
