WWE ECW 41

March 20, 2007 – Cleveland, Ohio

Bobby Lashley became the first dude to win the Masterlock Challenge the night before. They’ll show the exact same version of this video twice in a row on this 45-minute show. Chris Masters wants to break him in half in a match tonight. Sure, put the boring part of this program on the show I’m binging, great.

Kevin Thorn & Marcus Cor Von def. Rob Van Dam & Sabu
This was all punches and kicks and boring shticks. Saby is indeed useless in a traditional match. Von’s Pounce is now being called a cross body or a body block. Just call it the Pounce, Joey. *½

Snitsky def. Mike Tolar
Snitsky wins in seconds. Why haven’t all the guys Snitsky beat up, including the ECW Champion, tried to get revenge on Snitsky? More importantly, why haven’t the commentators made note of it and suggested that everyone is afraid to go for revenge? N/A

CM Punk def. Hardcore Holly
This was dull and long and only existed so that the New Breed could interfere and so that Punk could willingly capitalize on it. I don’t think we needed more than two minutes to make that point, but this show sometimes insisted on boring the crap out of everyone. *¾

Extreme Exposé makes it through their routine without interruption, and Kelly Kelly didn’t do anything ridiculous. What’s even the point then?!

Elijah Burke def. Tommy Dreamer
This was too short to be much of anything, but it was probably important for a New Breeder to get a clean win over an ECW original. *

Bobby Lashley def. Chris Masters
The crowd chanted boring before this even started, but it was too short to get boring. This did look like what I assume people who don’t watch wrestling think wrestling is: two human embodiments of a muscle punching each other and sometimes getting into positions that look a little gay. Whatever, it was fine. **
