Wolfgang def. Teoman {Heritage Cup Rules Semifinal Match}
This is a really weird spot to pin Teoman for the first time. Wolfgang wins the first fall in 2:02 of the first round with a caber toss. Teoman cheats a bit in round two but it’s not enough to win a fall. He slowly beats Wolfgang to the mat and then wins the second fall at 1:12 of the third round. Wolfgang wraps this up at 2:16 of the fourth round with a spear. So Teoman got pinned in two minutes and then got shrugged off as a mild nuisance at the end. This makes me even more frustrated about all the other boring matches I sat through used to build Teoman. This was decent, but it’s more relevant in that it devalued Teoman. **¼

Blaire Davenport threatens Sid Scala. She says more bad things will happen if she’s not reinstated. Then, Sam Gradwell defaces Subculture’s art. Then, Gallus commendeers Jordan Devlin’s dressing room to celebrate Wolfgang’s win. Then, Xia Brookside challenges Dani Luna to a contest, pitting her speed vs. Luna’s strength. Also, Charlie Dempsey debuts next week. And finally, Trent Seven challenges Ashton Smith & Oliver Carter to a match against Mustache Mountain.

Jinny def. Isla Dawn
They’re both heels, so Nigel McGuinness can’t decide which one he should be stumping for. They had a reasonably solid match here that ended when Dawk got distracted making eyes at Joseph Conners. Then, Jinny hit the Makeover for the win at 4:51. Dawn smiles when she loses, so what’s the point of getting invested in her matches? **

A-Kid def. Rampage Brown and Nelson Frazer {Number One Contender Triple Threat Match}
Frazer had no business in this match, given the momentum that both Brown and A-Kid had going into this. But he didn’t win so it’s a notch less annoying. Still annoying. The match was a ton of fun, though A-Kid and Frazer’s styles are similar so it’s hard to say that everyone brought something unique to the table. Also, A-Kid is so ridiculously good that he overshadowed Frazer at every turn. And Frazer is also good! Just not as good as A-Kid. And while it was fun to watch Brown suplex both opponents at the same time, I’d happily have lost that from the match if it meant a more focused story told between him and A-Kid. Anyway, I’m complaining about a good match because it feels like there could have been something great, which is quite the bratty thing to do in the main event of a one-hour TV show that almost no one watches. A-Kid superkicked Brown to the floor and caught Frazer with a gnarly leg lariat for the win at 16:28. ***¾
