Jordan Myles def. Angel Garza {Semifinal Match}
This was just starting to really take off when Myles hit a deadlift German suplex for the win. Both guys looked really good and I think Garza is talented enough that he’ll get over without the tournament win. After the match, Shane Thorne takes over a commentary headset to complain that the tournament is happening while he’s on the roster collecting dust. ***

After the show went off the air last week, William Regal booked Johnny Gargano against Adam Cole for Cole’s title at Takeover in a Three Stages of Hell match. Both competitors will get to pick a stipulation for a fall, and Regal will choose the third if one is needed. Gargano picks a street fight. Cole picks a straight up wrestling match, and he reveals that the Street Profits have accepted a tag title challenge at Takeover from Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish.

Bianca Belair def. Xia Li
This was real squishy in favor of Belair. I’d say Li deserves better, but keeping Belair warm seems to be a priority. N/A

Killian Dain says he attacked Matt Riddle because Riddle is a notable name. Then he rambles on a bit and kind of dilutes the message. At least he sounded intimidating while he did so. Later, they show footage of Mia Yim violently assaulting Jessamyn Duke in the Performance Center. I hate this for a babyface challenger. It’s a clever storyline for her to be neutralizing Shayna Baszler’s backup, but as a babyface the attacks should probably be happening off-screen and we should just be seeing the aftermath because she looks like a heel in these clips by attacking the Horsewomen from behind.

Velveteen Dream comes out to the ring and says that only death can part him from the North American Championship. He laments having been pinned by Roderick Strong in a six-man tag but doesn’t think Strong can beat him one-on-one. Strong formally challenges him to a match at Takeover. Pete Dunne joins the party, explaining why he wasn’t around to save Trent Seven earlier on NXT UK, and dislocates Strong’s finger. Then he just smiles at Dream. In the back, Regal tells Strong that it will be a triple threat match at Takeover. Strong reluctantly agrees if he can fight Dunne in a singles match next week.

Io Shirai nc. Kacy Catanzaro
Shirai’s new entrance is going to give someone a seizure. The match barely begins before Candice LeRae runs out and attacks Shirai. Shirai gets out of dodge before LeRae can do too much damage. N/A

Tyler Breeze will fight Jaxson Ryker next week, which means that there won’t be anymore pre-taped matches to air the following week (the last episode before Takeover). I wonder what they have in store for two weeks from now.

Damien Priest def. Keith Lee
There were more than a few cool spots in this match, but it had no flow at all. As such the crowd was pretty much silent for most of the thing. I think it’s safe to say that neither of these guys are connecting with the Full Sail fans, which is something they’ll need to do if they’re going to find success on this brand. **½
