October 24, 2018 – Winter Park, Florida
William Regal has security posted outside to direct Amsterdam Black to see the GM before he goes into the building.
The full Undisputed Era comes out to the ring to start the show. Bobby Fish looks very diminutive during the boom-pose. Adam Cole wants to face Ricochet for the North American Championship again, since he wasn’t pinned in their triple threat match. EC3 comes out and says Cole doesn’t deserve it. They decide to have a match right now.
EC3 def. Adam Cole
Holy crap, this was a surprisingly fun match. EC3 really has the hang of this big man thing now. Be it against a smaller guy like Cole or an even bigger guy like Lars Sullivan, he acts as a really good bruiser. After the match, the Undisputed Era lays him out. Fish hits his leg with a chair, injuring him. ***½
Jesus Cross screws with security, excited that Black is coming.
Mia Yim def. Aliyah
Yim got signed just after being eliminated from the Mae Young Classic. It’s not really fair to have her debut against Aliyah, who doesn’t have good matches. This was decent by Aliyah’s standards, though Yim looked shakier than she did in the MYC. **
Bianca Belair whines to Regal about getting a title shot. Regal ignores her and then tells an interviewer that he still doesn’t know who Cross told Black attacked him. The Undisputed Era start complaining to Regal, so Regal books Fish and Cole into a match against the War Raiders next week.
Next up: Roman Reigns farewell video → WWE Network video → Lacey Evans video → Tommaso Ciampa is pacing with the title → Kairi Sane vs. Shayna Baszler at Evolution hype video. This is a long time to go without anything happening in the ring.
Kassius Ohno def. Justin Xavier
Ohno finally trimmed his hair. I don’t review squashes. Cross comes out after the match to tell Ohno that “he’s coming.” N/A
Regal comes out to announce who Ciampa’s opponent at NXT Takeover War Games 2018 will be. Ciampa comes out and is rude to Regal. Velveteen Dream and Sullivan both come out as well. They have a fun exchange about who deserves the title more. Cross runs out to scream about Black, and then Black takes out the security and gets into the building. Black plows through Sullivan on his way to Regal, screaming, “where is he?!” But before Regal can do anything, Johnny Gargano runs out, superkicks Black and says, “I’m right here.” That was a fantastic heel turn. This was a little predictable as an end to the “who attacked Black” angle, but it was also the right end.
