NXT 434

February 7, 2018 – Atlanta, Georgia

The Undisputed Era comes out for a tag title match against SAnitY, but SAnitY attacks them during their entrance. Security tries to break it up and has little luck. William Regal comes out and changes the match to a six-man tornado tag match. So SAnitY doesn’t get a tag title shot anymore? That’s twice that their shot has been taken away from them. Will they ever get their shot?

Otis Dozovic & Tucker Knight def. Tino Sabbatelli & Riddick Moss
Mauro Ranallo says that Sabbatelli & Moss are as popular as Spectre & Meltdown. Did he think the general NXT fan would be familiar with that reference? Did he think any fan would be familiar with that reference? Is there a lot of crossover between cyber security nerds and wrestling fans? Someone needs to reign this guy in a little. I am very happy that Heavy Machinery went over here, though I’m very confused about why Sabbatelli & Moss were having problems getting along with each other. **

Johnny Gargano comes out to say that as much as losing at Takeover sucked, having the support of the fans helps him feel better about it. But he’s coming for Tommaso Ciampa. Andrade Cien Almas and Zelina Vega come out to gloat. Vega is very clearly working on covering up her Queens accent, as she now says “loser” the way everyone else does. Candice LeRae comes out and shoves her down, so Gargano does the same to Almas. Vega just wants Gargano out of NXT. Gargano says if they give him another shot at the title, he’ll leave NXT if he loses.

Shayna Baszler knows there won’t be a rematch for the women’s title because Ember Moon is scared. Moon is so easily triggered by Baszler it’s hilarious, and she tweets that they’ll fight for the title next week.

Bianca Belair def. Jessix Hill
Hill is a local, so she gets squashed crazy quickly. N/A

Eric Young, Alexander Wolfe & Killian Dain def. Adam Cole, Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly {Tornado Tag Match}
This started out a little awkward, but it turned into a fun, creative brawl. I guess if they wanted SAnitY to go over to end the feud, it made sense to keep them out of a tag match and just put them over in this environment. ***¼
