October 23, 2014 – Winter Park, Florida
Konnor & Viktor def. Tye Dillinger & Jason Jordan
Well, that’s about it for Dillinger & Jordan’s credibility. Total squash. Hideo Itami comes out to fight the Ascension and gets beaten up again. Seriously?! For the third week in a row Itami gets nothing?! Why would anyone cheer him after this? N/A
Tyler Breeze def. CJ Parker
Match was fine, just fine. Mojo Rawley comes out during the match and then does nothing. This episode is stagnant. **¼
Aiden English & Simon Gotch def. Wesley Blake & Buddy Murphy
This existed solely to show off the Vaudevillains new combo finisher, but it wasn’t bad. **½
Sasha Banks def. Bayley
Banks’s road to rehabilitation continues, and she’s now only down 2-5 to Bayley. This match was pretty solid, though not quite as good as their bout from the title tournament. After the match Becky Lynch saves Bayley from a beating, but then beats up Bayley herself. Alex Riley calls it the second season of the BFF, which just makes me so sad at how lazy this writing is. **¾
Adrian Neville def. Titus O’Neil [NXT Championship Match]
This was a lot better than O’Neil’s match against Sami Zayn, but what is that really saying? O’Neil can’t sell. Hell, he can barely convincingly move around the ring. Neville had to bounce around like a pinball to make this thing watchable. Also, a million thanks to whoever told O’Neil to be active during the bearhug, because it went along way in keeping me awake during the match. After the match, Zayn let’s Neville know that his road to redemption ends with the NXT Championship. Neville is all good with that because everyone knows that Zayn can’t win the big one. **½
