Konnor & Viktor def. Johnny Vandal & Aaron Solow
I don’t review Ascension TV matches… I mean squashes. N/A
Tyler Breeze def. Mojo Rawley
Breeze suffered a hand modeling accident and has his finger wrapped in a massive cast. This is why he hasn’t cashed in his title shot yet. Word is it’s a hangnail. Rawley goes down to the Beauty Shot after a few seconds, and while I don’t review squashes, this was very satisfying. N/A
Charlotte def. Summer Rae [NXT Women’s Championship Match]
Rae is no Natalya, and she had no business trying to go 10 minutes in a title match. That’s all I’ll say about this one. Everything else you need to know about this one is summed up by the fact that the crowd did the wave during the match, like, for a while. *½
Kalisto & Sin Cara def. Simon Gotch & Aiden English
This is much better than El Local. This was pretty neat, and really let Kalisto shine for the first time in NXT. **¾
Adrian Neville def. Rusev
There really wasn’t anything to set this up, but I like the whole Neville-runs-through-main-roster-wrestlers series, so cool let’s do it. This was mostly used as fodder for the Neville/Breeze match. Rusev had to be protected because they were putting him over everyone on the main roster, and if that’s the case then sure, have Breeze interfere on his behalf and get him disqualified. Rusev beats up Nevllle after the match, so now Neville has reason to be mad at Breeze. I’d be more into this if they’d have built to this match and shown that Breeze was factoring it into his plans. **
