Alexander Rusev def. Sylvester LeFort
LeFort doesn’t really want to fight, and it’s not clear to my why Rusev is mad at him considering Rusev is the one who unceremoniously ended the working relationship with violence. LeFort tries to pay him off, but he taps LeFort out in seconds instead. N/A
A cringey backstage segment featuring the ladies is forgiven because Bayley woos and Charlotte says, “Bayley, I’m not my dad.” I love her. No but seriously, they’re not good at promos.
Leo Kruger def. El Local
Kruger returns after a brief hiatus after losing to Antonio Cesaro in such a way that would suggest he come back as a babyface. So naturally he’s still a heel and nothing has changed. But he has a new submission finisher, so there’s that. Just make him Adam Rose already. N/A
Rick Victor & Conor O’Brian def. Travis Tyler & Troy McClain
I don’t review squashes, which means I don’t review any matches on this show so far. I feel like I could have skipped this episode pretty much entirely. N/A
Mojo Rawley def. Tye Dillinger
Hey Tye! Hope you like yams! Actually, Dillinger got to control with a few rest holds before getting put down, so I’ll give them a little credit. Rawley also brings a different energy and style, so points for that as well. *
Kassius Ohno def. Luke Harper
It’s not going to take much to impress me after five matches combined for less than 5 minutes of ring time so far tonight. And still I hated this. It just went on forever and ever with Harper in control almost the whole time. The crowd was silent, and I mean silent, for 75% of the match. Harper has been totally useless in NXT, and for him to go over just blows my fucking mind. The match wasn’t quite as bad as my rating suggests, but jobbing Ohno after making me sit through this match is indefensible. This was the beginning of Ohno’s job-out-and-shit-canning, and it was hard to watch. ½*
