NXT 119

May 30, 2012 – Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Curt Hawkins & Tyler Reks def. Jimmy Uso & Jey Uso
Like so many matches since this show dropped all storylines, this was a perfectly fine match, but wrestling doesn’t work when nothing leads to anything. **

Kaitlyn def. Tamina Snuka
This got around five minutes, which is like an iron woman match by the match-length standards of this show. A lot of it was spent in rest holds. *½

Derrick Bateman, Justin Gabriel & Percy Watson def. Johnny Curtis, JTG, & Michael McGillicutty
This was mostly boring, with one fun minute down the stretch. **

I really wish there was more to say about these shows, but there’s just nothing happening now. The commentary is the same for every match, as everyone was just waiting for the reboot to happen. The first four episodes of rebooted NXT had already been taped, you see. If WWE were any other show, they’d use the last four episodes that they had to run post-Full Sail taping to wrap up the couple storylines they had left over. Instead, they just forgot about them and wasted people’s time with boring matches that meant nothing. Is there another company in the world that cares so little about its own fans?
