October 26, 2011 – Houston, Texas
Derrick Bateman, his best friend by default JTG, and Maxine start the show in the ring with Titus O’Neil, Percy Watson, and Matt Striker. Bateman and O’Neil do a promo challenge with O’Neil wins. The good guys then make fun of the bad guys’ appearances until JTG attacks them and they get booked in singles matches.
Percy Watson def. JTG
Not embarrassing, but Watson still can’t string the two good moves he does together with anything in between. His new finisher is a flapjack. A flapjack. *½
Tyson Kidd def. Jey Uso
Curt Hawkins has been suspended for a week (but he’s injured anyway). Hawkins accompanies Kidd to the ring, so that’s why I bring that up. I thought he was suspended. This show sucks. Jack Krapola mentions that Hawkins is injured and that it doesn’t make sense that he’s out here. This match was a lot more boring than it should have been given who was involved. Hawkins was supposed to distract Jey for the finish, but they screwed that up. Yoshi Tatsu saves the Usos from getting beat up after the match. *¾
Kaitlyn def. Tamina
NXT is like ebola I guess; once you’re exposed to it, it sticks to you and you can transfer it to others. This was nothing but punches and kicks, making two minutes feel like ten. ¾*
Derrick Bateman def. Titus O’Neil
AJ and Maxine are on commentary for the match. Said match was better than any of their previous bouts, so of course the show focused more on the ladies fighting on commentary than the guys fighting in the ring. After the match, Bateman proposes to Maxine. Maxine slaps him, then kisses him, then says yes. That’s two proposals in about a year on this show. **¼
