March 22, 2011 – Columbus Ohio
Maryse might be illiterate, because she reads Jacob Novak as the leader or Redemption Points, but he has none and Titus O’Neil is winning. The commentators try to make an excuse about English not being her first language, but French has the same alphabet. Conor O’Brian is sort of starting to dress in Ascension gear, and Lucky Cannon is still harassing Maryse. The first challenge is a promo battle tournament. It’s brutally bad (which the commentators, who have been more or less neutered this season, call out) and Darren Young wins.
Titus O’Neil def. Darren Young
Nothing of note happened here until Chavo Guerrero tried to interfere for Young and ended up getting wiped out. *
Yoshi Tatsu tells Cannon to cool it on Maryse. Maryse comes up to apologize to Cannon for slapping him last week. He thinks she’s coming onto him and gets slapped again. Tatsu laughs and gets slapped too. Then Tatsu slaps Cannon. This sucks.
A tag match between Jacob Novak/JTG and Conor O’Brian/Vladimir Kozlov is cancelled in favor of a dance-off. The Russian and the Rat win, but since this didn’t involve all the rookies did it even count for anything?
Lucky Cannon def. Byron Saxton
I guess this was a small step above the previous match, but the issue between Tatsu (Saxton’s pro) and Cannon didn’t come into play until after the match, when Cannon attacks Tatsu. *¾
