NXT 20

July 6, 2010 – Atlanta, Georgia

It seems like they’re going to recycle the challenges from the first season beat-for-beat, in order, so it’s time for the promo challenge. Whoever wins gets to host a talk show next week on NXT. Okay so the prizes are different, and worse, but at least they probably won’t back out of it the way they backed out of giving Wade Barrett his own entrance music. Percy Watson wins the thing.

Michael McGillicutty def. Percy Watson
Nice little sprint here. Not sure what else to say about a two-minute match. *½

They show a video package of what the pros this of Titus O’Neil, who was eliminated last week. What the actual hell is going on with this show?

The Miz def. Kaval
This was fine. It was a little too much Miz and not enough Kaval, but that’s what they’re going for here. The commentators put over Kaval, but he didn’t really enough offense to warrant it. **¼

Yesterday, Wade Barrett offered John Cena a truce at the behest of the anonymous General Manager. Instead Cena went after him. So the GM scheduled a match pitting Cena against all 7 members of the Nexus next week.

Mark Henry & Lucky Cannon def. Husky Harris & Cody Rhodes
Pretty much the same as the first match; it was decent but insanely short. *½
