July 15, 2015 – Los Angeles, California
Dario Cueto offers Pentagon a match for an Ancient Medallion. He thinks about just giving Pentagon one. Pentagon doesn’t want to hear about medallions. He just wants Vampiro. Cueto wants to meet the master. Pentagon says he’ll reveal himself when he’s ready.
Bengala def. DelAvar Daivari {Ancient Medallion Match}
The issue from last week that linked Aerostar and Jack Evans was that they were two of the three people that already had medallions. There are too many of these dragon balls and I can’t keep track! The match was fine, nothing much to report, and it ended when Ryck hit Daivari by mistake and Bengala followed up with a German suplex for the win at 3:31. **
Vampiro gets in the ring for a chat. He isn’t going to take the match that Pentagon is trying to goad him into. He says Pentagon reminds him of himself, which brings out Pentagon. He still wants the fight, and he keeps calling him Ian. Vampiro likes being a commentator. Pentagon won’t be fighting Ian Hodgkinson, he’ll be fighting Vampiro. Vampiro then hits him with a chokeslam.
King Cuerno def. Killshot {Ancient Medallion Match}
I like how they billed this as hunter vs. hunter. It wasn’t the most exciting match, because even though Killshot is exciting, King Cuerno really isn’t. Cuerno picks up the win with a bow and arrow at 6:07. **½
Sexy Star def. Super Fly {Ancient Medallion Match}
Star taps Fly in 33 seconds with a Torbellino into an armbar. Marty Martinez comes out and sleazes up the joint. He grabs the medallion out of her hand and says because there’s a moth on it (representing his tribe) she must defend it now. N/A
Sexy Star def. Marty Martinez {Ancient Medallion Match}
After a bit more of a struggle, Star puts Martinez away with an armbar at 2:20. She’s just running through the toxic male geeks and I dig it. **
They run down the Ultima Lucha card:
Johnny Mundo vs. Alberto el Patron
Texano vs. Blue Demon Jr
Ivelisse, Son of Havoc & Angelico vs. The Disciples of Death for the LU Trios Championships
Drago vs. Hernandez
Vampiro vs. Pentagon
Prince Puma vs. Mil Muertes for the Lucha Underground Championship
Cueto finishes the show with a chat. He wants Muertes and Puma to go face to face in the ring right now. Konnan, Catrina, and the Disciples are supposed to stay in the back. Muertes’s crew come to the ring despite Cueto’s protests. He runs off as they start beating up Puma. Konnan distracts them, but Muertes beats him up too. Konnan ends up in a casket and Puma falls to the Flatliner.
