SAnitY and a bunch of security guards are laid out in the parking lot. That’s a dangerous parking lot.
New NXT Champion Drew McIntyre comes to the ring. Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly, and Adam Cole are on notice. Roderick Strong comes out instead and challenges McIntyre to his face for the title. McIntyre is happy to fight him. But tonight, Strong puts his issue with Bobby Roode to bed.
Royce Da 5’7 def. Ruby Riott
This was the best thing either of the Iconic Duo have done in forever, maybe during their whole NXT run. Even Billie Kay’s interference in the match was well-executed. RIott is quietly pretty good. ***
Otis Dozovic & Tucker Knight def. Damien Aweel & Edwin Negron
I don’t review squashes. I hope they find something for these boys to do soon. N/A
Roderick Strong def. Bobby Roode
NXT is getting really good as capping of feuds with really satisfying matches. Everything here worked for me, from Strong’s dominance early on, to Roode’s comeback by avoiding any backbreaker and getting in Strong’s head with backbreakers of his own, to the finish during which Strong used Roode’s desperate rope break against him and then embarrassed him with knee strikes and blew him a kiss goodbye. Just fantastic stuff, and my favorite Roode match in NXT. After the match, McIntyre comes out to congratulate Strong, but Cole, O’Reilly and Fish attack the champ on the ramp. ****
