Emma def. Shazza
So pretty much every Australian lady wrestler is or has been in NXT. The story here is that Emma is trying to look like a badass in the face of Asuka destroying her buddy Dana Brooke, but I just don’t buy her in this roll. This was squishy. N/A
Jason Jordan & Chad Gable def. Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano
Gable is just so natural in the ring it’s insane. This was dope as hell, and a huge surprise in the middle of the show. Gargano looked uncharacteristically lost a bit during the heat segment on Gable, but aside from that this was great. I’m also just now realizing that there hasn’t been an outstanding tag team match yet in NXT’s history. Clearly though, the tide is about to turn. ***½
Nia Jax def. Kay Lee Ray
Jax’s new Dragon Ball gear is world’s better than the ill-fitting outfit she had on last time. I don’t review squashes. N/A
Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady nc. Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson
They’re really doing everything they can to keep from putting the heels over the Jersey lunks. Here they have Dash & Dawson attack before the match can start and injure Big Cass’s leg.
Samoa Joe def. Tyler Breeze
More fallout from the battle royal, and Breeze’s final NXT match. It’s funny how NXT is burning off talent in two main events in a row. I think Breeze’s departure makes Jason Jordan the longest tenured NXT wrestler (in a straight shot, so Emma doesn’t count). This match was mostly dull with a hot finish. I’ll miss you anyway, Tyler. **¾
