Aiden English & Simon Gotch def. Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder
The commentators are starting to compare Dawson & Wilder to the Minnesota Wrecking Crew, so we’re heading in the right direction. This wasn’t much of a match due to length, but it made me curious about a longer bout between these teams. **
Baron Corbin def. Tucker Knight
Well hey, that’s one of them there Heavy Machinery Boys. He gets the usual Corbin treatment. N/A
Becky Lynch is injured and will be out for a little while. And speaking of Lynch, we get the final part of the of her friend Finn Balor’s doc. He talks about his artistic side, and how he loves getting art from the fans. He explains that his WWE name is named after two Irish mythical figures who battled each other, much like Finn Balor and the Demon battle each other. Fucking awesome. There’s a lot of Karl Anderson in this video, and a Noam Dar t-shirt. So that’s all neat. They also interview a bunch of his fans to talk about what Balor means to them. It’s pretty great, and if you want to watch it all in one piece, you can do that on the Network. It’s about 30 minutes.
Emma def. Carmella
That was a little better than I thought it’d be. Not a lot better, but nobody screwed anything up and they both fought like they wanted to win. A little later, Emma and Dana Brooke get into it with Sasha Banks backstage, and Banks sort of turns babyface in the process. **
Tyler Breeze def. Tye Dillinger
Dillinger’s Perfect 10 gimmick is on the lips of the fans, which is confusing to me because from what I’ve seen he hasn’t debuted it on the show yet. This was too short to be anything at all. *½
Finn Balor & Samoa Joe def. Kevin Owens & Rhyno
This took a hell of a long time to get going, and Joe sadly didn’t get to do much at all, but the final stretch was a trip and all the points I give to this match are on the strength of that stretch. Well, that and the fact that Owens pinned Balor to end the match. ***¼
