Baron Corbin def. Solomon Crowe
I’m just now starting to feel the real consequences of pay it forward jobbing, as Crowe, who beat up CJ Parker a few weeks ago, gets beat up by Corbin here. That on top of Bull Dempsey jobbing to everyone now after winning squashes for weeks on end makes me feel like none of this matters. Rhyno comes out after the match and it’s basically the same angle that Corbin had with Dempsey. A rhino is more compelling than a bull, thankfully. N/A
Sasha Banks def. KC Cassidy
Hey, it’s Peyton Royce! I don’t review squashes. N/A
Alexa Bliss def. Carmella
Wow, this was bad. Blake & Murphy distracted Carmella, giving Bliss the win. I have to say it again though, this was really, really bad. After the match, Blake says the quiet part out loud when he says that Carmella is garbage. Carmella tells them off and leaves them in the ring. I honestly can’t remember a time before I was watching this angle, and my life has been a misery. ¼*
Tyler Breeze & Adam Rose def. Finn Balor & Hideo Itami
Rose has no Rosebuds, so what’s even the point of him? No explanation was ever given as to why he’s teaming with Breeze for this match. This was some average ass, middling ass, mediocre ass, predictable shit right here. Balor and Itami couldn’t get on the same page so Breeze pinned Itami and then beat up knocked out both opponents and his partner after the match. I’m not mad at Breeze looking strong, I love it in fact, but the build to this match has been a snooze. **½
Sami Zayn calls out Kevin Owens to find out the truth about why Owens attacked him at Takeover after he beat Adrian Neville for the title. He doesn’t believe that Owens’ only motivator is providing a better life for his family, so to do so he played mind games with Zayn to get a title shot. Owens isn’t talking, so Zayn asks if it’s because Owens’ son would rather wear a Zayn shirt than a KO shirt to school. Owens quietly leaves the ring. He says nothing Zayn says matters, because Zayn is hurt from their match, not the John Cena match, and at Takeover he’s going to retire him.
