January 29, 2014 – Winter Park, Florida
Konnor & Viktor def. John Icarino & Mike Cuellari
I don’t review squashes. On commentary Byron Saxton says what we’re all thinking, “The tag team division has been non-existent.” I should keep a list of these accidental kayfabe breaking comments. N/A
Throughout the show, Sylvester LeFort interviews Performance Center recruits to add to his stable. This provides varying degrees of comedy, ranging from malicious (making fun of someone’s cauliflower ear) to harmless and almost funny (a wrestler being there to more or less make a pass at LeFort). The segments end with Mason Ryan saying he’ll join up if LeFort can pin him next week.
Corey Graves def. Camacho
Remember Corey Graves? Remember that time that he wore a suit and the commentators said that was his real style all along? Kindly forget about that. Apparently Graves has been out with a concussion since his ⅔ falls loss. We’re pretty much in Zombie Graves territory here, as he has about half a dozen TV matches left before calling it quits. Oh, and I don’t review squashes. N/A
Antonio Cesaro isn’t giving Sami Zayn a rematch because after losing to him once (which he claims is a fluke), he’s decisively beaten him twice (and pinned him thrice).
Bayley def. Sasha Banks
Okay, the babyfaces have won every singles match. Can we just do Bayley vs. Charlotte and put this to bed? This was fine, if short as hell. *
Tyler Breeze def. Colin Cassady
The stalling before the match lasts way longer than the match itself. Cass jumps very, very high. I bet he played basketball. It’s kind of surprising that more college basketball players don’t end up wrestling. It’s all football players. Anyway, Aiden English gets on the big screen and distracts Cass, leading to the loss. Cheap cheap cheap. ¾*
The Miz def. CJ Parker
It’s a dirty track that at just under five minutes this felt like a long match. It was about as interesting as everything else Parker is involved in. Not sure what this does for Parker, or even for the fans given how short it was. **
Bo Dallas def. Danny Burch
Dallas’s championship banner is already gone, so I guess that’s not going to be a thing. This is Dallas’s way of showing to Adrian Neville that he’s a formidable champion. I don’t review squashes. After the match Dallas signs the title match contract and they brawl. The crowd doesn’t care. N/A
