Enzo Amore & Colin Cassidy def. Alexander Rusev & Scott Dawson
The referee calls disqualified Sylvester’s guys because Dawson didn’t get out of the ring fast enough after making the tag. William Regal says it’s because they didn’t beat the five-count, but the referee only got to 3. That was the stupidest fucking finish I’ve seen since the almost exact same finish to the Usos vs. Ascension match a million weeks ago. It also happens to be the same referee in that match. The match was decent enough, but I just seethe when they do asinine finishes like this that leave the crowd stumped. Just awful. ¾*
Paige def. Sasha Banks
Paige is preoccupied with keeping her hair out of her face, which makes it look ridiculous when she’s in a submission and is more concerned with that then getting out of the hold. Try not noticing that when you watch a Paige match now. I’m not sure what we were supposed to take from this match. Was Banks’s new mean streak displayed in all the chinlocks she put on? Or is it that she lost because she didn’t have a mean streak? Probably the latter. The match was boring either way. And then Banks attacks Paige after the match because the writers for NXT only know one way to move a story forward. **
Xavier Woods def. Leo Kruger
This match, which was set up with no explanation next week, is for some reason the main event this week. Why doesn’t the show ever want to give motivation to Woods’ storylines? Most of this match was boring as hell. I’ve already forgotten a lot of it. Woods going over in the first match between the two would make you think this issue was over, which frankly makes it shocking that Kruger doesn’t attack Woods after the bell. So again I ask, why did Kruger attack Woods and what did all this accomplish? **¼
