July 17, 2013 – Winter Park, Florida
Leo Kruger def. Antonio Cesaro & Sami Zayn [Triple Threat Number One Contenders Match]
This was the best opener we’ve had in a while, and proof that Kruger is at his best when he can be on the floor while two more talented guys do all the work and then steal a pin at the end. Zayn and Cesaro got to break out some of their indy wackiness and breathe some life into this show. ***½
Bo Dallas def. Scott Dawson
This was fine, just fine. Kruger runs out to attack Dallas after the match. The crowd thanks him, then falls silent because as much as Dallas is annoying, Kruger is awful. **
Charlotte def. Bayley
Ric Flair gets his own entrance and introduces Charlotte. Charlotte was ludicrously fit and agile right from the get go. They kept it short and sweet, but you don’t see a lot of people with this much skill in their first ever televised match. ***
Sheamus gets interviewed backstage, and he’s just happy to be there. The Wyatt Family attacks him, I’m guessing because they wanted to have a way to get the tag belts off of Luke & Erick without letting them outright job.
Adrian Neville & Corey Graves def. Luke Harper & Erick Rowan [NXT Tag Team Championship Match]
The most interesting part of this match was Bray Wyatt’s shocked reaction from his chair after Harper’s Truck Stop slam was kicked out of. The match was very boring and the crowd didn’t care about any of it until Sheamus came out to take out Wyatt. At least the Family aren’t champs anymore. **¼
