Curt Hawkins & Tyler Reks def. Percy Watson & Derrick Bateman
This got a lot of time, and it really didn’t need it. The crowd was into Bateman, though. *¾
Kaitlyn def. Natalya
Natalya is a fun heel. This was a better women’s match than almost any ever on this show. That’s not saying much, but it’s something. **¼
The promote that NXT is changing next week and introduce us to Bo Dallas with a video that is very much like the earlier NXT rookie videos. It gave me a bit of PTSD, and was a hint that WWE was actually planning on doing a Season 6 at some point (which was years-later made public by Big E on Twitter). They show another one hyping Richie Steamboat.
Jimmy Uso & Jey Uso def. Johnny Curtis & Michael McGillicutty
This had a solid finish, but the rest of the match was boring. And don’t get too excited about the reboot next week, because all the guys in this match are still going to be main eventers in the the all new NXT. **½
That’s it for NXT in its original form (sort of… really that ended months earlier). My nightmare is finally over.
