February 22, 2011 – Sacramento, California
R-Truth lets Johnny Curtis know that the pros are taking the night off so the rookies can do it on their own. There are also cute vignettes with the other two pros and rookies, though how could anything compare to the glory that is Daniel Bryan and Derrick Bateman. It’s actually pretty upsetting to me that so few people were probably watching the show at this point, because these two had just the best chemistry.
All challenges tonight are worth three points so that Curtis and Bateman have a chance to catch up with Brodus Clay. The first challenge is a series of tabletop games. Curtis wins.
Johnny Curtis def. Derrick Bateman & Brodus Clay {Triple Threat Match}
What is going on with this show? The last five or so weeks have had decent to down right good matches. Who would have guessed it was possible? I’m almost sad this season is about to end. ***
A huge chunk of the show is devoted to replaying John Cena’s rebuttal to the Rock on Raw.
The show ends with elimination, but first there’s a promo challenge. Curtis could tie Clay by winning. Bateman bombs and is really surprised by it. Hometown hero Clay is over as hell to begin with, so he wins and gets immunity. Then Bateman gets eliminated and I die inside.
