Kane def. Elijah Burke
This was fine, I guess. Burke, like Stevie Richards, was pretty much just a jobber here. The commentators kind of gave away the result of the WrestleMania battle royal here, betting all their chips on Kane and talking about how he squares up against the champ instead of his advantage in a battle royal. *¾
Backstage, Chavo Guerrero was informed that Mark Henry is going to be in the WrestleMania battle royal when Colin Delaney interrupted, looking for a contract. He’d been on the show for over a month, what were we supposed to think was happening? Delaney is offered a contract if he could beat Guerrero tonight.
Kofi Kingston def. James Curtis
Why was Kingston still just squashing geeks? That said, this was fun while it lasted. Jamaican Buzzsaw was not a cool name for Kingston’s finisher. N/A
CM Punk, Jesse & Festus def. Shelton Benjamin, the Miz & John Morrison
I made the mistake of expecting this to be something interesting because I like all six guys, but it was just a regular house show-style match. It wasn’t boring, but there wasn’t much to it. Festus pinned the Miz with a flapjack. **¼
Chavo Guerrero def. Colin Delaney
This was four minutes long but felt like it was five times that. The crowd never bought Delaney’s chances, so none of his little comebacks got a reaction. This character was dead on arrival and I can’t for the life of me understand why they kept him around for so long. *½
