Big Daddy V def. Tommy Dreamer {Extreme Rules Match}
This was a bit more interesting than their last match thanks to the plunder, but V didn’t sell anything so there was no drama in the match. *¼

The Vince McMahon paternity saga leads Jonathan Coachman to suggesting that the son is Balls Mahoney. This leads to a Vince has no balls joke. Hmph.

Balls Mahoney def. Elijah Burke
They took two guys who aren’t that interesting or that skilled, gave them a decent amount of time and asked them to have a legit, competitive match. They went out there and did their best and we got a rather entertaining little outing. These two had a lot of limitations, but this match was proof that if you just give guys the opportunity they can put on a fun match. Balls got a clever roll up to win, which is nice since he’s the focal point of the Kelly Kelly angle and a pit stop in the McMahon storyline. **½

Mahoney runs into the Miz and Extreme Expose after his match. Miz is a bully, and Kelly is starting to get frustrated with him. She shoots Mahoney a smile on her way out to Miz’s main event. Meanwhile, Richards attacks Thorn during a backstage interview. Tit for tit is the expression for this situation, as they say. Then, Coachman suggests that the M in CM Punk might stand for McMahon. McMahon makes fun of Punk’s lifestyle, so Punk runs McMahon down completely. That was kinda fun.

The Miz & John Morrison def. CM Punk & The Boogeyman
This looks like the start of a cute relationship. They had the good sense to keep the Boogeyman out of this for a large portion of it. This wasn’t the most thrilling match, as Miz was very terrible at this point in his career, but Punk and Morrison did a solid job bringing things along. **¾

Nothing left now but SummerSlam.

John Morrison def. CM Punk {ECW Championship Match}
Punk hit the CM moonsault in this match, I think for the first time in WWE. It barely got a nearfall. The match was a decent contest, with good ebbs and flows in the action, Morrison botched the finish a bit, as he was supposed to get his feet on the ropes for the pin but couldn’t quite get there. That’s a shame. **¾
