July 24, 2007 – Fresno, California
John Morrison comes to the ring to start the show. He doesn’t want to fight the same guy over and over again, so he’s ready to move on to a new challenger. He’ll wrestle anyone in a non-title match with a 15 minute time limit, and if someone can last through their 15 minutes of fame, they’ll get a title shot. He brings out some little local jobber to be his first challenger.
John Morrison def. Zokre
Morrison wins in 34 seconds. N/A
Stevie Richards def. Kevin Thorn
This was better than it probably should have been, with a motivated Richards showing a lot of energy. Joey Styles’ delivery of his shock at the upset is really unconvincing. I guess they’re doing a Thorn vs. Richards program rather than a Thorn vs. Dreamer one? Maybe this will be forgotten too. **
The Miz def. Nunzio
Miz invited Extreme Expose to ringside to watch this match. He was really not good at this point, screwing up some pretty basic stuff here. When he wasn’t doing that, he was being boring. After the match, the Miz returns last week’s favor to Extreme Expose and dances for them. So now we’re a month out from when the tease was that Brooke and Kelly Kelly were going to snipe at each other over Miz, and now we’re just dancing and wasting time. ¼*
Big Daddy V def. Jimmy Cruz & Victor Calvio {Handicap Match}
Just a squash and an excuse to get Matt Striker on commentary. N/A
CM Punk & Tommy Dreamer def. John Morrison & Elijah Burke
This was long and boring. Dreamer inspires no love from the fans when he’s in trouble, and he was in trouble for most of the match. Burke was phoning it in, which is pretty rough considering that he’s not that great when he’s on top of his game, and Morrison didn’t seem all that interested blowing minds when he was in there either. The only bright spot here was Morrison trying to stay away from Punk and Punk going wild and getting a piece of the champ anyway (though he got the winning pin over Burke). **
