WWE ECW 36

February 13, 2007 – Seattle, Washington

Bobby Lashley def. Hardcore Holly
Lashley wins clean again, so because this is ECW clearly Holly is going to get a title match soon. It takes them a couple minutes to get there, but points to the commentators for understanding the psychology behind Holly putting a table back under the ring rather than using it. This was quite a bit better than their match last week, proving that Holly should only wrestle in hardcore matches. ***

They show another promo for Snitsky, with clips of him beating up Lashley. Why didn’t he get involved (or even really mentioned) during the opener? No time to think about that, because Extreme Expo is here. This time they’re interrupted by Kevin Thorn & Ariel.

Marcus Cor Von & Kevin Thorn def. Sandman & Tommy Dreamer
This was a boring match with a low blow finish when Thorn hit Sandman with his cane. *

Teddy Long and Bobby Lashley hang out backstage. Long invites Lashley to come to Smackdown as his guest.

CM Punk def. Mike Knox
There was a time when this match might have mattered, but Kelly Kelly isn’t involved and I can’t believe I care about that. This was a fine way to spend three minutes. Snitsky attacks Punk after the match. Not sure why the big guy is targeting someone lower on the card this week. *¾

Elijah Burke & Matt Striker def. Rob Van Dam & Sabu
There seems to be a zero-to-one good match per episode rule on this show. This was a total bore. RVD seemed poised to amp things up down the stretch, but then the finish was flat. The New Breed poses all together to close the show, looking like a motley bunch of goofs. *½
