WWE ECW 22

November 7, 2006 – Moline, Illinois

CM Punk def. Mike Knox
Punk made Knox tap out clean after a perfectly inoffensive match, sending Punk to the elimination chamber match. We got weeks and weeks of build to this match and then the program is over just like that. At least it should be. **¼

Elijah Burke and Sylvester Terkay are ready to debut on ECW. That’s all.

Paul Heyman comes out to say he’ll give Rob Van Dam a chance at revenge tonight when he tags with the Big Show to take on RVD and Hardcore Holly. He’s still talking about Holly as if the crowd isn’t booing the dude. In an effort to sound edgy without really being edgy, Heyman says that insatiable prostitutes crave success. This guy was so exposed during this run. He says that next week there’s an open challenge for the sixth spot in the elimination chamber match, and anyone from any brand can answer the challenge.

Daivari def. Little Guido
Here’s another squash for Daivari. It was short and still managed to be really boring. Great Khali attacks after the fact. N/A

Test def. Tommy Dreamer
This was short and mostly not terrible. Test goes the elimination chamber thanks to this win. *¾

Rob Van Dam & Hardcore Holly nc. Paul Heyman & Big Show
This was insanely boring, with Show lumbering around the entire match because Heyman isn’t a wrestler. Then Holly turns on RVD, which I actually like because it was clear that the face turn wasn’t working at all. Points for aborting the babyface run and nothing else. *½
