WWE ECW 15

September 19, 2019 – Worcester, Massachusetts

Paul Heyman welcomes King Booker & Queen Sharmell to ECW. That’s it.

Sabu, Tommy Dreamer & Sandman def. Mike Knox, Test & Matt Striker
They wasted no time in making Sabu just another guy after his run at the top of this show. This was eleven boring minutes of wrestling for the amazing payoff of a disqualification finish because Test accidentally shoved the referee. I can’t believe they didn’t fire Heyman and reboot this show sooner. ½*

Kevin Thorn def. Balls Mahoney
Earlier on backstage, Booker was offended by the sight of Balls Mahoney. Not funny, not going anywhere, not sure why it was on TV. Mahoney brings Francine to the ring with him to counter Ariel. It doesn’t work. I mean yeah, Francine attacked Ariel after she went after Mahoney, but the distraction led to Thorn winning in under two minutes. N/A

Heyman introduces Booker to the Full Blooded Italians. Sharmell is offended by Trinity’s outfit. Then CM Punk walks up and motions towards Booker’s title belt.

CM Punk def. Shannon Moore
Do we really need more of this? I feel like the point was made last episode. Moore got some offense in here, but who cares we know he’s not going anywhere. *½

King Booker def. Rob Van Dam {Extreme Rules Match}
This was set up in an awkward backstage promo moments earlier. As usual with RVD lately, his match was pretty decent and it ended with shenanigans. This time around, Hardcore Holly ran out and attacked RVD, lading to Booker getting the win. Booker’s presence felt like a bit of stability, but he didn’t set the world on fire. Anyway, this was alright, had a pinfall finish, and will likely lead to a blow off to the Holly/RVD feud. **½
