The Miz def. CM Punk
The last minute of this was really good, the rest of it was paint by numbers. These two had decent enough chemistry, but this was a far cry from their better match the month before. The Miz won clean too, which was surprising. **¼
Cherry, Kelly Kelly & Michelle McCool def. Layla, Natalya & Victoria
Hot take: the only differences between Mike Adamle and Mauro Ranallo is Ranallo’s knowledge of the wrestling business and that Ranallo has a better product to call than Adamle did here. Ranallo gets over by showing his wrestling fandom, but the cringe-inducing lines that Adamle is throwing out like “I’ve got Diva Fevah,” are not all that different that Ranallo’s shoehorned pop-culture inserts. Anyway, this match was rather poorly stuctured, and Cherry pinning Victoria to win the thing on a show that she’s never on feels stupid. *
Kofi Kingston heard Shelton Benjamin talking trash backstage, so he beat him up. Then Adamle and Tazz try to talk through the Judgment Day lineup and Adamle was clearly shaken by whoever was in his ear because he could barely stutter his way through it.
Mike Knox def. Colin Delaney
Total squash for Knox. Why go back to this well? N/A
Armando Estrada def. Colin Delaney
Estrada beat Delaney in even less time than Knox just to embarrass him. He also announced that he’d be wrestling on the show regularly too. N/A
John Morrison def. Kane
They took their sweet time getting to a finish where Miz distracted the referee so that Morrison could hit Kane with his belt and a kick to the face. It wasn’t bad, but it didn’t need to be more than ten minutes long. Yeesh. After the match, the tag champs beat up their challengers for the PPV. **
Might as well get this poorly-built program over with by checking out the blow-off on Judgment Day.

The Miz & John Morrison def. CM Punk & Kane {WWE World Tag Team Championship Match}
Not so hot take: Tazz is as bad on commentary as Adamle. For every time Adamle says something stupid like, “Kane is like the one-legged man in the Fugitive,” Tazz matches his garbage with a quote like, “Icky thump. It’s an icky thump!” That’s my big takeaway from this match, because nothing really happened in the ring. I mean, stuff happened but it wasn’t you can’t see on any wrestling show where all four guys in a tag match know that bringing their A-game in this setting isn’t necessary or even wanted by the company. Punk was looking good toward the end, but the finish (Punk, like an idiot, was distracted by Kane chokeslamming Miz on the floor and then got pinned by Morrison) was really lame. **¼
