Matanza Cueto def. Cortez Castro {Lucha Underground Championship}
Dario’s Dial of Doom landed on Dario’s Choice, and he knowingly chose Castro to get this title shot. Castro went into this with his arm in a cast after Pentagon Dark broke it. Matanza destroyed Castro’s arm and hit the Wrath of the Gods at 2:21. Not really a match. N/A
Dario and Joey Ryan laugh in Dario’s office over what just happened. Ryan leaves and Son of Havoc & Mascarita Sagrada enter. Sagrada wants a match against Famous B. Dario says that if Havoc can beat Dr. Wagner Jr. tonight, Sagrada gets his match and they can pick the stipulation. If Wagner wins, he picks the stip.
In the ring, Prince Puma more or less recaps his most recent conversation with Vampiro and challenges Mil Muertes to a Grave Consequences match. Muertes accepts and attacks Puma. Puma fights him off.
Son of Havoc def. Dr. Wagner Jr.
On commentary, Vampiro buries Havoc’s gimmick all of a sudden for no reason here. What was that about? This was perfectly fine, but just fine. Havoc won with a shooting star press in 5:34, which begs the question of why they spent a full night of Ultima Lucha Dos building up Wagner if he was going to be this beatable so soon after. Havoc says that Sagrada chooses a in a Believers Backlash match (a lumberjack strap match). But the Believers don’t have to bring straps, they can bring whatever weapon they want. **½
We get another look at the White Rabbit guy. And then it turns out that it’s Paul London and my butt almost falls off. He’s got two friends with him and they’re coming to the Temple.
Rey Mysterio def. Chavo Guerrero {Loser Leaves Lucha Match}
The crowd was very engaged in this, treating both guys like legends and being rabid for Mysterio in particular. They had a nice match, which Chavo Sr. tried to rig by hitting his son with a chair and getting Mysterio disqualified. That was cute, but Dario was having none of it. He hates disqualifications and loves violence, so he screams at the referee and restarts the thing as an anything goes match. The Guerreros eat a 619, leading to a hot final stretch before Mysterio hits a springboard splash for the win at 13:42. Overall, this was a great piece of overbooked drama. Guerrero had his working boots on too, making the most of his final match in the company (allegedly). ***¾
